Additional Information/Professional Philosophy
I help people make the changes they want in their lives through psychotherapy. I provide the support, help and guidance that people sometimes need to make these changes. I get behind the things you want to do and help you work towards them. I use my training and experience to help enable you to make the changes you can’t make on your own.
It is my belief that people often find it difficult to find someone who will take the time to truly understand. A Self Psychological approach to psychotherapy prizes sustained empathy as a fundamental part of understanding the client and supporting them to make the changes they want in their life. It harnesses both the conscious and unconscious parts of us and recognises that we aren’t helpless in the face of our difficulties, but sometimes need some support and guidance to overcome them.
