• Therapy offers a range of benefits to improve and enhance the life of yourself, your family and your relationships. Through therapy, you will be able to express yourself freely in a confidential setting. This can help you understand and organise your thoughts and feelings and become more aware of how they influence behaviours and beliefs. Therapy is a safe place to learn how to deal with emotions and thoughts in a productive way and to learn new strategies to cope with life’s challenges.

  • “The only thing I know for sure about your organisation is that you’ll never have enough time, money or people to do everything you’d like to do. That means you have to make deliberate choices about what you invest in, and how and where to deploy your scarce resources to create the most value.”

Melissa has worked at Executive level in primary healthcare, disability and mental health. She also has experience supporting and coaching organisations and teams in their response to critical and traumatic incidents, workplace suicide and onsite deaths and accidents, and implementing whole-of-system approaches to improved wellbeing.

Melissa has over a decade of experience in the clinical space, providing therapeutic support, coaching and mentoring in an array of areas, including personal resilience, interpersonal conflict, leadership and emotional intelligence, burnout, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue, navigating complex relationships, anxiety, depression, self-care, parenting support (returning to work after parental leave and juggling work and parenting responsibilities) and coaching for life transitions and retirement. Melissa also has experience in administering psychometric assessments, workplace assessments, report writing, and developing learning, performance and improvement plans.

Melissa’s past research includes implementing positive psychology practices in the workplace and in leadership, the triangulation between emotional intelligence, work stress and person-job fit/staff retention, and organisational responses to suicide and adverse events.
